Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and medical work-ups.
Diagnose and treat a broad range of small animal medical conditions.
Perform diagnostic procedures and routine surgical and dental procedures.
Develop appropriate individualised treatment plans.
Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols.
Build trusted relationships with clients through clear and compassionate communication.
Educate pet owners on diagnoses, treatment options and preventative healthcare.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
Monitor patient cases from admission through discharge.
Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and support staff.
Help maintain efficient clinical workflows and high standards of patient care.
Participate in continuing education and practice development initiatives.
Maintain high standards of veterinary ethics and professional conduct.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should hold a DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution and have a current Georgia veterinary licence or be eligible to obtain one.
While clinical experience is welcomed, new graduate veterinarians are encouraged to apply, making this opportunity suitable for DVMs at different stages of their careers.
Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical judgement, excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine.
Confidence or an interest in developing skills across general medicine, surgery and dentistry would be beneficial.
The successful candidate will communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, work collaboratively within a team and remain calm and professional when managing sick, painful or stressed patients.
A valid DEA registration will need to be obtained and maintained where required.
