Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for:
Performing comprehensive patient examinations and medical assessments.
Developing diagnostic and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Providing preventative medicine, surgical, and dental care.
Performing diagnostic procedures and routine surgeries.
Communicating effectively with clients regarding treatment options, recommendations, and ongoing care.
Maintaining accurate medical records and patient documentation.
Prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols.
Monitoring hospitalised patients and participating in medical rounds.
Supporting efficient daily hospital operations from intake through discharge.
Collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to promote teamwork and excellent patient outcomes.
Participating in clinical discussions, training, and practice improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
A current veterinary licence or eligibility to obtain licensure in the appropriate state.
DEA registration or ability to obtain and maintain registration.
1+ years of veterinary practice experience preferred.
Strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills.
Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities.
A compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
The ability to work effectively within a collaborative veterinary team.
A commitment to continued learning and professional development.
