Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and preventative healthcare
Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
Develop diagnostic and treatment plans based on clinical findings
Perform routine and advanced soft tissue surgical procedures
Carry out routine and complex dental procedures, including extractions
Manage hospitalised patients and coordinate referrals where appropriate
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
Communicate clearly with clients regarding diagnoses and treatment options
Participate in clinical rounds and collaborate with colleagues
Help promote a positive, supportive, and patient-focused hospital culture
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent qualification
Active veterinary licence or eligibility for licensure in Arkansas
DEA licence or eligibility to obtain
USDA accreditation (or ability to obtain)
Confidence performing routine surgery and dentistry
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
