About the Role
As an Associate Veterinarian in Garland, TX, you will:
Provide high-quality small animal care including wellness exams, diagnostics, and medical/surgical treatments
Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients
Perform routine and soft-tissue surgical procedures (based on experience)
Prescribe medications and administer vaccinations
Interpret laboratory results, radiographs, and other diagnostic imaging
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding care options, prognosis, and preventive medicine
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care
Uphold clinic standards, protocols, and ethical practices
Candidate Profile
Must Have:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Texas
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Commitment to high standards of patient care and client service
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Nice to Have:
Experience with soft-tissue surgery and dentistry
Interest in preventative care and client education
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Desire for continuing education and professional development
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $110,000 – $160,000
Production/Bonus: Performance or production-based bonus opportunities
