About the Role

As an Associate Veterinarian in Garland, TX, you will:

  • Provide high-quality small animal care including wellness exams, diagnostics, and medical/surgical treatments

  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions

  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients

  • Perform routine and soft-tissue surgical procedures (based on experience)

  • Prescribe medications and administer vaccinations

  • Interpret laboratory results, radiographs, and other diagnostic imaging

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records

  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding care options, prognosis, and preventive medicine

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care

  • Uphold clinic standards, protocols, and ethical practices

Candidate Profile

Must Have:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution

  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Texas

  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and client service

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with soft-tissue surgery and dentistry

  • Interest in preventative care and client education

  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems

  • Desire for continuing education and professional development

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $110,000 – $160,000
