Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care to small animal patients throughout all life stages.
Perform routine wellness examinations and develop preventive healthcare plans.
Diagnose and treat a broad range of medical conditions.
Manage urgent and emergency presentations as appropriate.
Develop individualised diagnostic and treatment plans.
Perform routine surgical and dental procedures according to experience.
Utilise diagnostic testing and imaging to support clinical decision-making.
Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, prognoses, and preventive healthcare recommendations clearly with clients.
Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and their pets.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians, support professionals, and other clinicians.
Utilise additional clinical consultation resources when managing complex cases.
Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records.
Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative hospital culture.
Candidate Profile
Candidates should hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent qualification and possess, or be eligible to obtain, a valid Alabama veterinary licence in good standing.
The successful veterinarian will have a collaborative approach, excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgement, and a commitment to practising high-quality veterinary medicine.
