About the Role
A veterinary practice is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian in Liverpool, New York, just outside Syracuse, to join a collaborative small animal general practice team.
The position offers a base salary of $130,000–$145,000 plus monthly production compensation with no negative accrual, providing additional earning potential based on performance.
Veterinarians have the clinical autonomy to make appropriate decisions for their patients while benefiting from a highly skilled support team, modern facilities, mentorship, and opportunities to develop individual clinical interests. Exposure to exotic pets and wildlife cases is available for interested doctors but is not required.

Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality small animal general practice care
Provide preventative medicine and routine healthcare
Examine, diagnose, and manage a varied clinical caseload
Develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans
Perform medical and surgical procedures within your experience
Communicate treatment recommendations clearly with pet owners
Build lasting relationships with clients and patients
Work collaboratively with veterinary and support colleagues
Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records
Exercise appropriate clinical autonomy when managing cases
Participate in continuing education and professional development
Explore exotic, wildlife, or clinical research interests where desired
Candidate Profile
Candidates should hold a DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary qualification and possess, or be eligible to obtain, the appropriate New York State veterinary licence.
