Responsibilities
Patient Care
Perform wellness examinations and appointments for sick patients
Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
Perform soft tissue surgery and dentistry appropriate to experience level
Develop personalised treatment plans focused on optimal patient outcomes
Recommend specialist referrals when appropriate
Provide compassionate end-of-life care when required
Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education
Client Experience
Build lasting relationships with pets and their families through trust and communication
Clearly explain examination findings, treatment options, and preventative care recommendations
Present treatment plans and estimates with transparency
Keep clients informed throughout their pet’s care journey
Follow up with clients to support successful recovery and ongoing wellbeing
Collaboration & Team Support
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-focused workplace
Collaborate on complex medical cases
Support mentorship and professional development initiatives
Provide guidance and education to veterinary team members
Help maintain efficient hospital workflows and quality standards
Medical Records & Quality Standards
Complete accurate SOAP medical records
Maintain thorough medical and surgical documentation
Ensure appropriate medical coding and billing procedures
Support continuous improvement initiatives and clinical excellence
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
Active or eligible veterinary licence in Washington State
A passion for delivering compassionate, evidence-based medicine
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
