Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and preventive healthcare services.

  • Diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions in companion animals.

  • Develop diagnostic and treatment plans using a problem-oriented medical approach.

  • Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic findings.

  • Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures, including:

    • Spays and neuters

    • Mass removals

    • Exploratory procedures

    • Soft tissue surgeries

  • Perform routine and advanced dental procedures, including extractions and oral surgery.

  • Manage hospitalized patients and coordinate referrals when necessary.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.

  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care.

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.

  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in Massachusetts.

  • DEA license or ability to obtain upon hire.

  • USDA accreditation or ability to obtain within required timeframes.

  • Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgical procedures.

  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.

  • Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented approach.

  • Interest in continuing education and clinical development.
