Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and preventive healthcare services.
Diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions in companion animals.
Develop diagnostic and treatment plans using a problem-oriented medical approach.
Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic findings.
Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures, including:
Spays and neuters
Mass removals
Exploratory procedures
Soft tissue surgeries
Perform routine and advanced dental procedures, including extractions and oral surgery.
Manage hospitalized patients and coordinate referrals when necessary.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
Eligible for veterinary licensure in Massachusetts.
DEA license or ability to obtain upon hire.
USDA accreditation or ability to obtain within required timeframes.
Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgical procedures.
Strong communication and client relationship skills.
Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented approach.
Interest in continuing education and clinical development.
