Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and preventive healthcare services.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in companion animals.
Develop diagnostic and treatment plans using a problem-oriented medical approach.
Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic findings.
Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures, including:
Spays and neuters
Mass removals
Exploratory surgeries
Soft tissue procedures
Perform dental examinations, dental radiograph interpretation, and dental extractions.
Manage hospitalized patients and coordinate referral care when required.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and ongoing care.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Participate in case discussions and contribute to a positive hospital culture.
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
Eligible for veterinary licensure in Massachusetts.
DEA license or ability to obtain upon hire.
USDA accreditation or ability to obtain within required timeframes.
Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgical procedures.
Strong diagnostic, communication, and problem-solving skills.
