Role Overview – Associate Veterinarian (Small Animal)
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality veterinary care to small animals, working alongside an experienced team of veterinary professionals. The practice prides itself on maintaining excellent clinical standards and a compassionate approach to patient and client care.
Flexible working patterns are available, with both full-time and part-time veterinary roles considered.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive small animal veterinary care, including consultations, diagnostics, and treatment planning
Perform routine and advanced veterinary surgical procedures (spays, neuters, and soft tissue surgeries)
Carry out veterinary dental procedures, including cleanings and extractions
Interpret diagnostic imaging (radiography, ultrasound) and laboratory results
Deliver clear and professional client communication and education on pet health and preventative care
Maintain accurate and compliant medical records
Collaborate with veterinary nurses, technicians, and support staff to ensure smooth clinical operations
Uphold high standards of clinical governance and patient care
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent qualification
Licensed Veterinarian in California (or eligible for licensure)
Experience in small animal medicine and surgery preferred
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
A compassionate, client-focused approach to veterinary care
Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented veterinary practice
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Up to $130,000 – $165,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
