Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose and manage medical conditions.
Perform wellness examinations and preventative healthcare consultations.
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples and interpret results.
Develop treatment plans and provide medical recommendations.
Perform surgical procedures and prescribe medications when appropriate.
Educate clients on preventative care and treatment options.
Provide compassionate guidance regarding end-of-life care.
Maintain accurate patient medical records.
Communicate effectively with clients and veterinary colleagues.
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, regulations and professional standards.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
An active veterinary licence or eligibility for licensure in Tennessee.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD registration.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A compassionate, client-focused approach to veterinary medicine.
Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
