Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose and manage medical conditions.

  • Provide preventative care and wellness consultations.

  • Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results.

  • Develop personalised treatment plans and communicate recommendations to clients.

  • Perform surgery and dental procedures as appropriate.

  • Utilise ultrasound and other diagnostic tools when needed.

  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing patient care.

  • Provide compassionate guidance regarding end-of-life care.

  • Maintain accurate medical records.

  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

  • Follow veterinary ethics, regulations and professional standards.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited AVMA institution.

  • An active veterinary licence or eligibility for licensure in Tennessee.

  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD registration.

  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.

  • A passion for high-quality patient care and continued learning.

  • An interest in dentistry, surgery and/or ultrasound.

  • A collaborative approach and commitment to teamwork.
