About the Role
As an Associate Veterinarian in Overland Park, Kansas, you will:
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and wellness evaluations for canine and feline patients
Develop diagnostic and treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
Interpret diagnostic testing, laboratory results, and imaging studies
Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and surgical procedures within your comfort level
Provide dental examinations, treatment recommendations, and dental procedures
Educate clients on preventive healthcare, nutrition, and ongoing medical management
Maintain accurate and legally compliant medical records
Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service representatives
Deliver high-quality patient care while fostering strong client relationships
Participate in preventative care programs including vaccinations, parasite prevention, and wellness screenings
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
Licensed, or eligible for licensure, in Kansas
Comfortable practicing small animal medicine and routine surgical procedures
Strong diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and patient management skills
Excellent communication and client education abilities
Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to patient care
DEA license or eligibility preferred, where applicable
Open to both experienced veterinarians and motivated new graduates
Interest in preventive medicine, dentistry, surgery, and client relationship building is highly valued
