Responsibilities

The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive veterinary care for companion animals.

  • Diagnosing and treating medical conditions and injuries.

  • Performing examinations, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications.

  • Building trusted relationships with clients through education and compassionate communication.

  • Collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care.

  • Educating clients on preventative medicine, vaccinations, nutrition, parasite control, and early disease detection.

  • Maintaining accurate medical records and clinical documentation.

  • Supporting a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement and medical excellence.

  • Staying current with advancements in veterinary medicine.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent qualification.

  • A current California veterinary licence in good standing.

  • An active DEA licence.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent clinical judgement and decision-making abilities.

  • A passion for delivering compassionate patient care.

  • Confidence with diagnostics, treatment planning, and modern veterinary technology.
