Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care across a broad range of cases.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations
Developing problem lists and differential diagnoses for patients
Creating and executing diagnostic and treatment plans
Performing routine and complex surgical procedures, including:
Spays and neuters
Mass removals
Abdominal exploratory surgeries
Performing dental procedures, including:
Dental exams and radiograph interpretation
Extractions and oral surgery
Managing hospitalized and day patients with appropriate treatment plans
Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records
Communicating effectively with clients regarding diagnostics, treatment, and outcomes
Collaborating with veterinary and support teams to ensure continuity of care
Participating in clinical rounds and case discussions
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented veterinarian with strong clinical and communication skills.
Qualifications include:
DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
Active or eligible California veterinary licensure
DEA registration and Controlled Substance License (or ability to obtain)
USDA Category I Accreditation (or completion within required timeframe)
Strong surgical and dental competence
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to remain professional in high-stress clinical situations
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt
Both experienced veterinarians and newer graduates with strong clinical interest are encouraged to apply.
