Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality medical and surgical care to companion animals while supporting the overall success of the hospital.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing comprehensive patient examinations and diagnostics
Developing treatment plans and prescribing medications
Performing routine and advanced surgical procedures
Providing client education and treatment recommendations
Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records
Monitoring hospitalized patients and participating in daily case discussions
Supporting hospital efficiency and teamwork
Collaborating with leadership on hospital priorities and protocols
Upholding high standards of patient care from intake through discharge
Participating in continuing education and training initiatives
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and communication skills along with a genuine passion for veterinary medicine and client care.
Qualifications include:
DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
Active California veterinary license or ability to obtain
DEA registration or willingness to obtain
Minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience preferred
Strong surgical and dental skills
Excellent interpersonal and client communication abilities
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary care
