Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical procedures

  • Manage complex referral surgical cases from diagnosis through post-operative care

  • Collaborate with emergency, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, and critical care teams

  • Deliver high-quality perioperative planning and anaesthesia coordination

  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding surgical options, risks, and outcomes

  • Participate in multidisciplinary case rounds and clinical discussions

  • Support mentorship and development of junior veterinary surgeons and support staff

  • Maintain high standards of evidence-based surgical practice and clinical governance

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Board-Certified or Residency-Trained in Veterinary Surgery (or equivalent)

  • A qualified Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent

  • Eligible for licensure in Nebraska, USA

  • A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative referral environment
