Responsibilities
Triage, stabilise, and manage emergency and urgent care cases
Diagnose and treat a wide range of critical and acute presentations
Develop and execute comprehensive emergency treatment plans
Collaborate closely with specialists, interns, residents, and nursing teams
Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners
Work alongside referring veterinarians to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Contribute to a supportive, respectful, and team-focused culture
Support teaching, mentoring, and clinical development of junior staff
Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care medicine in a fast-paced environment
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent qualification
Eligible for licensure in Massachusetts prior to start date
Internship training or emergency clinical experience required
Strong background or interest in emergency and critical care medicine
Confident decision-maker in high-pressure clinical environments
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Passion for client communication and patient advocacy
Interest in teaching, mentoring, and clinical development
Calm, adaptable, and collaborative approach to veterinary practice
