Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat emergency and critical care patients

  • Perform emergency surgical procedures, including soft tissue surgeries

  • Conduct diagnostic investigations including ultrasound, radiography, laboratory testing, and biopsies

  • Perform endoscopic procedures where appropriate

  • Develop diagnostic and treatment plans for emergency cases

  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners regarding diagnoses and treatment options

  • Prepare and discuss treatment estimates

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records

  • Provide discharge instructions and preventative care guidance

  • Collaborate with veterinary nurses, technicians, and support staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

Candidate Profile

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree

  • Passion for emergency and critical care medicine

  • Experience performing emergency surgeries and emergency procedures

  • Endoscopy experience is advantageous

  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency setting

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
