Responsibilities
Provide emergency and critical care services for sick and injured patients
Triage, assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for emergency cases
Manage hospitalized patients and oversee ongoing care plans
Perform emergency surgeries and critical care procedures
Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and support staff
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnostics, treatment plans, and prognosis
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a confident and compassionate veterinarian with emergency medicine experience and a collaborative approach to patient care.
Qualifications include:
DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
Active veterinary license in Hawaii, or ability to obtain prior to start date
Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain
Experience in emergency medicine preferred
Completion of a rotating internship or emergency-focused experience is advantageous
Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented emergency environment
