An established emergency and specialty veterinary hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian in Orchard Park, New York to join its experienced 24/7 clinical team.

The successful veterinarian will manage a diverse caseload of urgent, emergency, and critical care patients, confidently triaging and stabilising small animals while developing appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality small animal emergency and critical care
Triage and stabilise critically ill or injured patients
Diagnose and manage a broad range of urgent medical and surgical presentations
Develop and implement timely diagnostic and treatment plans
Perform appropriate emergency procedures and interventions
Make confident clinical decisions within a fast-paced emergency environment
Collaborate with specialists across Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Radiology, and other services
Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners during stressful and emotionally challenging situations
Work closely with Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and other clinical professionals
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
Participate in clinical case discussions and continuing education
Contribute to hospital-wide training, protocol development, and process improvements
Support the continued growth and advancement of the emergency service
Candidate Profile
Candidates should hold a DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited veterinary school and be licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in New York State.
Previous emergency medicine experience is required.
