Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency and urgent care for small animal and exotic patients
Stabilise and manage critical and complex medical cases
Work collaboratively with emergency clinicians, specialists, and support teams
Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures and imaging
Communicate effectively with clients regarding treatment plans and prognosis
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
Participate in case discussions and contribute to a collaborative learning environment
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a motivated veterinarian who thrives in an emergency setting and is committed to high standards of care.
They will have:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
Eligibility for licensure in Hawaii (or ability to obtain it)
Strong interest or experience in emergency medicine (new graduates with strong support needs may be considered depending on structure)
A commitment to evidence-based medicine and ethical veterinary practice
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A collaborative and empathetic approach to patient and client care
A desire for continuous learning and professional development
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $80,000 – $210,000 annually (based on experience, skills, and credentials; based on a 40-hour work week)
