Responsibilities
Provide immediate assessment and treatment of emergency and critical care patients
Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, and triage assessments
Conduct and interpret diagnostics including ultrasound, radiography, bloodwork, and biopsies
Develop and communicate diagnostic and treatment plans to clients
Perform emergency surgical procedures, including soft tissue surgery
Carry out endoscopic procedures where required
Manage complex cases in a fast-paced ER environment
Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding treatment options and estimates
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary emergency team
Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across all emergency presentations
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this Emergency Veterinarian job in Burlington, VT will be:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent (required)
