About the Practice
The practice is an established small animal veterinary practice in Farnham, undergoing continued investment and development with a clear focus on clinical excellence and team progression.
The leadership team brings extensive clinical experience across areas including surgery, physiotherapy, arthritis management, regenerative medicine and chronic pain management, alongside a strong focus on professional development and service expansion.
The nursing team works collaboratively with Veterinary Care Assistants and the wider clinical team, creating an environment where RVNs are encouraged to take ownership, contribute ideas and develop their clinical interests.
The practice is also developing gold-standard rehabilitation services, providing opportunities for nurses with an interest in rehabilitation, chronic conditions and preventative care.
Responsibilities
Deliver consistently high standards of clinical and patient care
Work collaboratively with the nursing and Veterinary Care Assistant teams
Support efficient clinical workflows and contribute to improving practice processes
Lead and develop nurse-led clinics, including osteoarthritis and weight management
Support the training and development of RVNs and VCAs
Contribute to clinical audits and team initiatives
Participate in continuous improvement projects
Promote high standards of animal welfare
Develop and pursue individual clinical interests
Support the wider team through a positive, professional and collaborative approach
Lead by example in clinical standards, communication and work ethic
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with a strong background in small animal practice.
Referral experience would be advantageous but is not essential. More importantly, candidates should be confident in their clinical nursing abilities and committed to delivering excellent patient and client care.
They should be organised, proactive and motivated to take on additional responsibilities while supporting colleagues around them.
The role would particularly suit an RVN who enjoys nurse-led clinics, clinical development and continuous improvement and wants to contribute to the growth of a progressive practice.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary dependent on experience (from £29,000 - £32,000)
40-hour full-time working week
