About the Practice
The practice is a purpose-built small animal veterinary practice in Farnham, supported by an experienced and collaborative team with a broad range of clinical interests and additional qualifications.
The practice is well equipped to support comprehensive first-opinion care and advanced procedures, including:
Two operating theatres
Dedicated imaging and theatre room
Full in-house diagnostic facilities
Advanced patient monitoring equipment
Dental radiography
Ultrasound
Tonopen
PRP system
Advanced in-house procedures including PRP and stem cell therapy
Visiting specialists in orthopaedics, cardiology and ophthalmology further strengthen the clinical support available.
There are also plans to expand rehabilitation services, providing further opportunities for Veterinary Surgeons with an interest in developing specialist clinical areas.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality veterinary care across a varied small animal caseload
Confidently manage routine medical and surgical cases
Work cases up thoroughly using appropriate diagnostics and clinical reasoning
Take ownership of cases from initial consultation through to treatment and follow-up
Perform routine surgical procedures to a high standard
Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent client care
Collaborate closely with Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and the wider practice team
Contribute to clinical discussions and continuous improvement
Develop individual clinical interests and areas of expertise
Maintain high standards of patient welfare and clinical care
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 5 years' experience in small animal practice.
They should be confident managing routine medical cases and performing routine surgery, with the ability to make sound clinical decisions and work cases up thoroughly.
Strong time management and organisational skills are essential, alongside excellent communication and client care abilities.
The successful candidate will be proactive, motivated and comfortable taking ownership of their caseload while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
Veterinary Surgeons interested in further development or working towards additional certificates will receive strong support.
