The role offers 20–30 hours per week, with flexible working patterns designed to support a healthy work-life balance. There are no out-of-hours requirements and only a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality first opinion veterinary care.
Conduct thorough consultations and clinical examinations.
Manage a varied medical and surgical caseload.
Undertake surgical procedures appropriate to experience and interests.
Perform diagnostic investigations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Build strong and lasting relationships with clients.
Work collaboratively with the wider veterinary and support team.
Contribute to clinical discussions and knowledge sharing.
Support the development of colleagues where appropriate.
Maintain high standards of patient welfare and clinical governance.
Explore opportunities to develop leadership and management responsibilities.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident working in routine small animal practice and enjoys developing strong relationships with clients.
They will ideally have:
Solid first opinion small animal experience.
Confidence managing medical and surgical cases.
A particular interest or bias towards surgery.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and client-care abilities.
A collaborative and supportive approach to teamwork.
An interest in developing leadership and management skills.
A genuine commitment to continuing professional development.
