Responsibilities
As Hospital Medical Leader, responsibilities will include:
Leading and mentoring the veterinary team
Promoting exceptional standards of patient care and client service
Supporting associate veterinarians through coaching and development
Overseeing medical quality and regulatory compliance
Partnering with operational leadership to drive hospital performance
Reviewing medical records and providing clinical guidance
Performing routine and advanced medical, surgical, and dental procedures
Managing controlled substance compliance and hospital protocols
Building a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture
Contributing to recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
Active veterinary licensure, or eligibility for licensure, in Massachusetts
1+ years of clinical veterinary experience
Strong surgical and dentistry skills
Leadership, mentoring, or coaching experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
A commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based veterinary medicine
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
A collaborative and supportive leadership style
