Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care for small animal patients.
Lead by example in delivering high standards of veterinary medicine and client care.
Support and mentor veterinarians and members of the clinical team.
Help maintain consistent clinical standards and best practices.
Conduct wellness examinations and preventative healthcare appointments.
Diagnose and manage illnesses, injuries and ongoing medical conditions.
Develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans.
Perform general practice procedures appropriate to clinical experience.
Communicate clearly with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment recommendations and preventative care.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians, support staff and practice leadership.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient medical records.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative and professionally supportive working environment.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent veterinary qualification.
A current veterinary license or eligibility to practice in North Carolina.
Strong small animal general practice experience.
The confidence and experience to provide clinical leadership and mentorship.
Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and client relationship skills.
A collaborative and team-oriented leadership style.
