Responsibilities

  • Serve as the medical leader and veterinarian of record for the hospital

  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality medical care across the practice

  • Collaborate with veterinary team members, practice leadership, and support staff

  • Support staffing and scheduling processes alongside the Practice Manager

  • Help maintain medical standards, protocols, and compliance requirements

  • Manage a varied caseload, including consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures

  • Build strong relationships within the practice and local community

  • Support the growth and development of veterinary support staff through internal training programmes

  • Partner with hospital leadership to promote continued practice success

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a passionate veterinarian who enjoys leadership, mentorship, and collaborative medicine.

Applicants should have:

  • DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE programme)

  • Active veterinary licence in Florida or the ability to obtain one

  • Strong clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery

  • Leadership experience or a desire to develop into a veterinary leadership role

  • Excellent communication and team-building skills

  • A commitment to mentoring colleagues and supporting professional growth
