This long-established, multi-site small animal practice has been providing high-quality veterinary care to the local community for over 40 years. Their experienced veterinary surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses and support staff work collaboratively to deliver excellent clinical standards while fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.
The practice is well-equipped with modern diagnostic facilities, including digital radiography, dental radiography and ultrasound, enabling clinicians to work cases to a high standard. A loyal client base and varied caseload provide excellent opportunities to develop both surgical and medical interests, with support available for further certificates and professional development.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and support to the veterinary team.
Deliver high-quality first-opinion veterinary care.
Manage a varied caseload consisting of approximately 40% consultations and 60% surgery.
Mentor and develop veterinary colleagues and nursing staff.
Promote excellent clinical standards and continuous improvement.
Support practice development through coaching, collaboration and process improvements.
Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
Participate in occasional sole charge duties when required.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have:
MRCVS registration.
A minimum of five years' UK veterinary experience.
Strong first-opinion medical and surgical skills.
Previous leadership, mentoring or line management experience, or the ambition to progress into a leadership position.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence working independently when required while thriving within a collaborative team.
A proactive approach with a passion for clinical excellence and team development.
