Responsibilities

The Managing Clinical Director will:

Leadership & Culture

  • Serve as the clinical leader and cultural driver for the hospital

  • Support and oversee Associate Veterinarians and veterinary staff

  • Develop a positive and high-performing hospital environment

Mentorship & Talent Development

  • Mentor veterinary professionals through structured training and development plans

  • Support recruitment and onboarding efforts

  • Encourage continuous learning and clinical advancement

Operational Oversight

  • Improve hospital workflows, client service processes, and operational efficiency

  • Monitor key performance indicators, including financial performance, team engagement, and client satisfaction

  • Collaborate with leadership teams on staffing, compliance, and performance initiatives

  • Use operational data to support strategic decision-making

Clinical Excellence

  • Maintain exceptional standards of veterinary medicine

  • Encourage utilisation of advanced equipment and medical resources

  • Maintain a reduced clinical caseload while providing medical leadership

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree

  • Active veterinary licence in good standing

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Passion for mentoring and developing veterinary teams

  • Ability to evaluate performance data and implement improvements

  • Commitment to exceptional patient care and client experience
