Responsibilities
The Managing Clinical Director will:
Leadership & Culture
Serve as the clinical leader and cultural driver for the hospital
Support associate veterinarians and veterinary team members
Promote a positive, collaborative workplace environment
Improve team engagement, retention, and performance
Mentorship & Development
Mentor and develop veterinary professionals through structured growth plans
Support recruitment and onboarding of veterinary team members
Encourage continuous learning and clinical development
Hospital Operations
Support workflow improvements and operational efficiency
Monitor key performance indicators, including financial performance, client satisfaction, and team metrics
Collaborate with operational leadership to achieve hospital goals
Ensure compliance with veterinary standards and regulations
Clinical Excellence
Maintain high standards of veterinary medicine
Support the use of advanced equipment and clinical resources
Build strong client relationships through exceptional communication
Maintain a reduced clinical caseload while providing medical leadership
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
Active veterinary licence in good standing
Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Passion for mentoring and developing veterinary teams
Ability to interpret operational and performance data
Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service
