Responsibilities

The Managing Clinical Director will:

Leadership & Culture

  • Serve as the clinical leader and cultural driver within the hospital

  • Oversee and support Associate DVMs and veterinary team members

  • Promote engagement, teamwork, and employee retention

  • Help create a positive and high-performing hospital environment

Mentorship & Talent Development

  • Mentor veterinarians and support staff through structured development plans

  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding of veterinary professionals

  • Encourage ongoing learning and professional growth

Operational Oversight

  • Support improvements to workflows, client service processes, and hospital operations

  • Utilise key performance indicators, including financial performance, team metrics, and client satisfaction data, to guide decisions

  • Partner with leadership teams to support compliance, staffing, and operational goals

Clinical Excellence

  • Ensure exceptional standards of veterinary medicine are maintained

  • Support the use of advanced equipment and medical resources

  • Build strong client relationships through communication and education

  • Maintain a reduced clinical caseload while providing medical leadership

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree

  • Active veterinary licence in good standing

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities

  • Passion for mentoring and developing veterinary teams

  • Ability to analyse performance data and make informed decisions

  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
