Responsibilities

The Managing Clinical Director will:

Leadership & Culture

  • Serve as the clinical leader and cultural driver for the hospital

  • Support and oversee Associate Veterinarians and veterinary team members

  • Promote teamwork, engagement, and staff retention

  • Build and maintain a positive hospital environment

Mentorship & Talent Development

  • Mentor veterinarians and support staff through structured training plans

  • Assist with recruitment and development of veterinary professionals

  • Encourage continued learning and career progression

Operational Oversight

  • Improve workflows, client service processes, and operational efficiency

  • Review key performance indicators, including financial performance, team engagement, and client satisfaction

  • Collaborate with leadership teams on staffing, compliance, and performance initiatives

  • Use operational data to support strategic decision-making

Clinical Excellence

  • Maintain exceptional standards of veterinary care

  • Support the use of advanced equipment and medical resources

  • Promote outstanding client communication and patient experiences

  • Maintain a reduced clinical caseload while providing medical leadership

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree

  • Active veterinary licence in good standing

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Passion for mentoring veterinary teams

  • Ability to analyse performance metrics and implement improvements

  • Commitment to excellent patient care and client service
