Medical Director Veterinarian
Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
Schedule: Full-time (Flexible scheduling available)
Compensation: $160,000 to $180,000 (DOE) + production bonuses + sign-on incentives

A well-established, multi-site small animal practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead clinical operations across two hospital locations.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to step into a senior leadership role, combining hands-on clinical work with strategic oversight, team development, and operational leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping medical standards, mentoring veterinarians, and driving overall hospital performance.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative care to small animal patients.
Lead and mentor veterinary teams across multiple locations.
Oversee clinical standards, protocols, and patient care quality.
Partner with leadership to manage operations, budgeting, and hospital performance.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of veterinary staff.
Ensure an exceptional client experience and address escalated concerns.
Develop and maintain effective scheduling and workflow processes.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
Candidate Profile
DVM or equivalent from an accredited university.
Active (or eligible) Tennessee veterinary license.
4+ years of clinical experience, with prior leadership experience preferred.
Strong skills in general medicine, surgery, and client communication.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop veterinary teams.
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Passion for delivering high-quality care and driving practice growth.
