Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the veterinary team while maintaining high clinical standards
Oversee medical protocols, quality assurance, and patient care standards
Provide medical, surgical, and dental care for companion animals
Conduct regular doctor meetings and support veterinarian development
Collaborate with hospital leadership on operational and financial performance
Manage client concerns, medical policies, and regulatory compliance
Review patient records and ensure medical excellence across the hospital
Support recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of veterinarians
Identify opportunities for hospital growth and service expansion
Candidate Profile
Qualified Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent
Licensed or eligible to practice in California
DEA registration (or ability to obtain and maintain)
Minimum 3–5+ years of clinical veterinary experience
Strong surgical, dental, and diagnostic skills
Previous leadership or mentorship experience preferred
Excellent communication, decision-making, and team leadership abilities
Passion for high-quality medicine, collaboration, and staff development
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
