Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the veterinary team while maintaining high clinical standards

  • Oversee medical protocols, quality assurance, and patient care standards

  • Provide medical, surgical, and dental care for companion animals

  • Conduct regular doctor meetings and support veterinarian development

  • Collaborate with hospital leadership on operational and financial performance

  • Manage client concerns, medical policies, and regulatory compliance

  • Review patient records and ensure medical excellence across the hospital

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of veterinarians

  • Identify opportunities for hospital growth and service expansion

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent

  • Licensed or eligible to practice in California

  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain and maintain)

  • Minimum 3–5+ years of clinical veterinary experience

  • Strong surgical, dental, and diagnostic skills

  • Previous leadership or mentorship experience preferred

  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and team leadership abilities

  • Passion for high-quality medicine, collaboration, and staff development

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
