Compensation: $170,000 to $190,000 + production bonuses + up to $75,000 in sign-on/relocation packages

A well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in West Chester, Pennsylvania is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their clinical team while continuing to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to small animal patients.
Lead and mentor associate veterinarians, supporting professional development and performance.
Establish and maintain clinical protocols, medical standards, and quality of care.
Partner with hospital leadership to manage operations, budgeting, and financial performance.
Oversee compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Manage client concerns, patient care issues, and referral relationships.
Conduct team meetings, support recruitment, and contribute to hospital growth initiatives.
Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team culture.
Candidate Profile
DVM or VMD from an accredited institution.
Active (or eligible) Pennsylvania veterinary license.
3–5+ years of clinical experience, with leadership experience preferred.
Strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational abilities.
Passion for mentoring, team development, and delivering high-quality care.
Ability to manage both clinical and operational responsibilities effectively.
