Salary: £45,000 - £70,000
Hours:
Option 1: 3 nights every 2 weeks (on-call) plus 1 in 4 weekends
Option 2: 1 night every 4 weeks plus 1 in 4 weekends

We are representing a well-established independent veterinary practice in Lancashire that is seeking an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated out-of-hours team.
This role offers flexible night-working patterns, making it ideal for a vet looking to balance clinical work with lifestyle commitments while remaining involved in a varied and interesting caseload.

The practice is supported by a highly experienced team of veterinary surgeons and nurses, all committed to delivering a professional and comprehensive range of veterinary services.
They are equipped with modern and sophisticated diagnostic and surgical equipment and are particularly well regarded for their expertise in exotic and avian medicine, receiving referrals and recommendations from other practices across Lancashire.
Key Responsibilities
Providing emergency and out-of-hours veterinary care
Managing inpatients and urgent medical cases overnight
Performing emergency diagnostics and surgical procedures
Working collaboratively with nursing and support teams
Ensuring continuity of care and clear clinical handovers
Participating in the shared weekend rota
About You
RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
Confident working independently during night shifts
Experience in emergency and critical care preferred
Interest or experience in exotic and avian cases advantageous
Calm, professional, and highly organised
