Responsibilities
Provide high-quality out-of-hours veterinary care for small animal patients.
Manage emergency consultations, inpatient care, and urgent cases.
Perform diagnostic investigations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Carry out medical and surgical procedures with confidence.
Deliver compassionate and professional communication with clients.
Maintain accurate clinical records and patient documentation.
Make autonomous clinical decisions while supported by an experienced hospital team.
Work collaboratively with veterinary nurses and wider colleagues.
Contribute to clinical discussions and continuous improvement.
Participate in ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a confident Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical skills and the ability to manage emergency cases independently.
You will have:
RCVS registration and eligibility to work as a Veterinary Surgeon in the UK.
Experience working within a small animal veterinary environment.
Confidence managing emergency, medical, and surgical cases.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and client-care skills.
A passion for delivering outstanding patient outcomes.
