Responsibilities
Leading Medical Care
Establish and maintain medical standards and clinical protocols
Ensure exceptional patient care and client service standards
Oversee wellness, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, anaesthesia, and pain management protocols
Monitor medical record quality and compliance
Evaluate and introduce new clinical services where appropriate
Drive continuous improvement in medical outcomes and patient care
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, mentor, and support veterinarians and clinical team members
Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing culture
Support training, continuing education, and professional development initiatives
Conduct case reviews and provide clinical guidance
Lead team meetings and practice improvement initiatives
Practice & Financial Leadership
Partner with leadership teams on strategic planning and hospital growth
Support budgeting, operational performance, and revenue development
Monitor key performance indicators and financial outcomes
Promote community engagement and client acquisition initiatives
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and professional standards
Candidate Profile
DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited institution
Eligible for veterinary licensure in Massachusetts
Strong clinical skills across small animal medicine and surgery
Previous leadership, mentorship, or management experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results
Strong business acumen and interest in practice ownership
