Responsibilities
The Part-Time Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for:
Performing comprehensive patient examinations and medical assessments.
Developing diagnostic and treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
Providing preventative care, surgical services, and dental care.
Performing diagnostic procedures and routine veterinary surgeries.
Communicating clearly with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care.
Maintaining accurate medical records and patient documentation.
Prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols.
Monitoring hospitalised patients and supporting continuity of care.
Collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide excellent patient outcomes.
Supporting hospital protocols and maintaining high standards of veterinary medicine.
Participating in team discussions, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
A current veterinary licence or eligibility to obtain licensure in Colorado.
DEA registration or ability to obtain and maintain registration.
1+ years of veterinary practice experience preferred.
Strong diagnostic, surgical, and clinical skills.
Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities.
A compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
The ability to work effectively within a collaborative veterinary team.
A commitment to continued education and high-quality medicine.
