About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse in Liverpool, Merseyside, looking for a part-time position within a modern, nurse-led small animal practice.
Offering just 20 hours per week over 2 days with only 1 in 9 Saturdays, this position provides an excellent work-life balance while allowing you to continue using your full range of clinical nursing skills.
The nurse-led environment encourages RVNs to take an active role in patient care, supported by excellent surgical, dental and diagnostic facilities.

About the Practice
The practice is a modern and well-equipped small animal veterinary clinic in Liverpool, providing a varied caseload and excellent opportunities for RVNs to utilise their clinical capabilities.
Facilities include six spacious consulting rooms and two fully equipped operating theatres, supporting a broad range of surgical procedures.
The practice also benefits from a dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray, an ultrasound diagnostic room and a separate digital X-ray suite.
Dedicated canine and feline wards provide separate spaces for hospitalised patients, helping create a more comfortable and lower-stress environment.
The nursing team is encouraged to contribute fully to patient care within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care across a varied small animal caseload.
Support Veterinary Surgeons with medical and surgical cases.
Monitor anaesthesia and assist with surgical procedures.
Provide inpatient and ward nursing.
Support dental procedures and dental radiography.
Assist with diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound and digital X-ray.
Prepare patients, theatres and equipment for procedures.
Monitor patients throughout treatment and recovery.
Utilise nursing skills within a nurse-led clinical environment.
Maintain accurate clinical and nursing records.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.
Work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and nursing colleagues.
Maintain consistently high standards of patient welfare.
Participate in the 1 in 9 Saturday rota.
Engage with CPD and continued professional development.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who:
Holds current RCVS registration.
Has strong general small animal nursing skills.
