About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon in Beeston, Nottinghamshire, to join an established small animal practice on a part-time basis.
This Veterinary Surgeon role offers up to 30 hours per week, with flexibility around the exact hours, plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings from 9am–12pm. There are no out-of-hours requirements, supporting an excellent work-life balance.
The successful candidate will ideally have at least three years' experience and be confident working up medical and surgical cases independently. Strong general small animal skills and a collaborative approach are highly valued.
About the Practice
The role is based within a modern, well-equipped small animal practice in Beeston, designed to high clinical standards and supported by state-of-the-art equipment.
The successful Veterinary Surgeon will work alongside an experienced clinical team comprising two experienced Vets and three RVNs, supported by a dedicated reception and management team.
The practice provides a friendly, supportive environment where teamwork, high-quality patient care and continued professional development are encouraged.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to small animal patients.
Work up a varied caseload confidently and effectively.
Carry out routine consultations, diagnostics and surgical procedures.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.
Work collaboratively with Vets, RVNs, reception and management colleagues.
Maintain consistently high standards of clinical care and patient welfare.
Contribute positively to the continued development of the practice.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with:
At least 3 years' small animal veterinary experience, ideally.
Strong general medical and surgical skills.
Confidence in working up clinical cases.
Good clinical judgement and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and client-care skills.
A collaborative, team-focused approach.
A genuine commitment to high standards of patient care.
