About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and forward-thinking Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join an established practice in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
This is a part-time position offering flexible working patterns, with standard hours of 9:00am–7:00pm, no out-of-hours and no Sunday working.
Salary up to £75,000 FTE, dependent on experience, with a generous benefits package and excellent opportunities for professional development.

About the Practice
The practice is a busy, well-established small animal surgery with a loyal client base developed over 16 years.
A significant proportion of the team has been with the practice since it opened, reflecting a strong and positive working culture built around continuity, collaboration and high standards of care.
The practice has recently undergone refurbishment and is equipped with modern clinical facilities, including:
Digital X-ray
Ultrasound
Dental facilities
In-house laboratory testing
Modern surgical facilities
The practice is located on a popular retail park with free on-site parking, a supermarket and a 24-hour gym nearby.
Salisbury offers an excellent lifestyle, with the New Forest close by, the south coast approximately 30 minutes away and London accessible in just over an hour by train.
Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Surgeon, responsibilities will include:
Providing high-quality first-opinion veterinary care
Conducting routine and complex consultations
Performing general surgical procedures
Working confidently in sole-charge situations when required
Developing thorough diagnostic and treatment plans
Maintaining gold-standard clinical and patient care
Building strong relationships with clients and their pets
Contributing ideas to improve clinical standards and practice processes
Supporting the continued development of the clinical team
Helping shape the future direction of the practice
Working collaboratively with Veterinary Nurses and support colleagues
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
Be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with at least 5 years' UK experience
Have strong experience within small animal practice
Be confident with consultations, general surgery and sole-charge work
Demonstrate a genuine commitment to clinical excellence
Be confident, motivated and forward-thinking
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues
Bring ideas, initiative and enthusiasm to the role
Be interested in influencing clinical standards and practice development
Have the ambition to help shape the future of an established practice
