Accountant Role Overview
This Accountant position in Leyland will suit a proactive individual with experience in a UK accountancy firm. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality compliance work, and provide practical financial advice.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare year-end accounts for Limited Companies, sole traders, and partnerships
Complete Corporation Tax returns and Self Assessment tax returns
Liaise directly with clients, providing clear and practical accountancy advice
Provide payroll bureau support when required
Assist the Director with day-to-day practice operations
Manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines
Skills and Experience Required
ACA, ACCA, or AAT qualified or part-qualified, or qualified by experience
Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software
Solid understanding of UK tax and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and organisational skills
