Accounts Assistant or Semi Senior Role

Full time, salary circa £24,000 - £28,000
An independent accountancy practice in Shrewsbury are looking to expand their Accounts team, with someone who has qualified AAT (3 and/or 4) and is looking to continue their studies.
The role is ideally suited to someone who has some experience in practice (around 2+ years), and is local to Shrewsbury. The office can offer flexible working hours, ongoing mentoring and support from the Senior team, and an enhanced pension contribution of 8%.
The practice has a cluster of offices around the North West of the country. They have been well established for nearly 70 years and have experienced continued growth and success in addition to maintaining a loyal portfolio of clients in the local area.
Main duties of the role:
Accounts preparation for self assessment tax returns
Producing Financial Statements for Companies House
Assisting the Seniors with different stages of Accounts
Collaborating with peers on larger projects
General Bookkeeping maintenance
Looking after a portfolio of clients and identifying areas for review
Working with a range of different industry sectors
The ideal candidate:
Local to Shrewsbury and happy to work in the office
At least 2 years of experience in practice
Experience of different stages of the accounts production
Qualified with AAT - either 3, and/or 4
Possibly started ACA/ACCA
The package:
Full time role
Flexible working hours can be discussed
Early finish Fridays
Enhanced contribution to pension - 8% from the employer
Salary is dependent on experience, circa £24,000 - £28,000 to be reviewed after interview
