Key Responsibilities
Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
Prepare corporation tax returns
Prepare VAT returns and management accounts
Maintain accurate client bookkeeping
Assist and provide guidance to junior team members
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, resolving queries efficiently
Use accounting software such as IRIS, TaxCalc, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, alongside Microsoft Office (Excel)
Proactive approach to tasks, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
Skills & Requirements
Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice
AAT qualified (or equivalent)
Ability to prepare personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients
Strong commercial awareness
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Optional skills that would be advantageous: blog writing or additional client advisory experience
