Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate ledgers for small business clients

  • Prepare VAT returns and support quarterly management accounts

  • Process payroll and prepare payroll reports

  • Support year-end statutory accounts and tax filing preparation

  • Liaise directly with clients via phone, video, or in-office appointments

  • Support the adoption and use of cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Dext

  • Contribute to team projects, process improvements, and client support initiatives

Candidate Requirements

  • AAT qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)

  • Practice experience preferred, confident using Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks

  • Competent user of Excel and other financial software

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Clear communicator who thrives in client interactions and team settings

  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn
