Key Responsibilities
Assist with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate ledgers for small business clients
Prepare VAT returns and support quarterly management accounts
Process payroll and prepare payroll reports
Support year-end statutory accounts and tax filing preparation
Liaise directly with clients via phone, video, or in-office appointments
Support the adoption and use of cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Dext
Contribute to team projects, process improvements, and client support initiatives
Candidate Requirements
AAT qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)
Practice experience preferred, confident using Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
Competent user of Excel and other financial software
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Clear communicator who thrives in client interactions and team settings
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn
