Audit & Accounts Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead multiple audit assignments from planning to completion for a varied client portfolio.
- Supervise audit and accounts teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff and ensuring compliance with audit and accounts methodology.
- Review working papers, financial statements, and audit reports to ensure technical accuracy and completeness.
- Manage Audit & Accounts teams workloads.
- Run weekly update meetings for all Audit & Accounts team reporting to the directors.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day audit matters.
- Monitor audit budgets, reporting variances and ensuring efficiency in delivery.
- Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients.
- Keep abreast of relevant financial reporting and auditing standards.
- Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and participating in proposal development.
Skills they need from you:
- ACA/ACCA qualified, with a minimum of 3–5 years post-qualified experience in audit.
- Proven experience in managing audit assignments and teams within a practice environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Meet monthly planning targets.
- Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel) and Accountancy Software such as IRIS, TaxCalc, Xero, Quickbooks, Sage
- Proactive in your approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure and hit deadlines.
