Audit Assistant Manager
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Contract: Full Time, Flexible working
A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice is expanding its Audit division in Birmingham and seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing team. The Role
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will play a key part in managing audit engagements, supporting junior team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit work. This role offers a strong blend of hands-on audit, client interaction, leadership responsibility, and opportunities to contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion

Review work prepared by audit juniors and seniors

Work closely with managers and partners to ensure an exceptional client experience

Resolve technical queries and provide practical, compliant solutions

Identify risks, issues and opportunities to improve audit efficiency

Support the development and training of junior team members

Build strong, trusted relationships with clients across a diverse portfolio
About You
-
ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with recent practice audit experience

Proven experience leading audits and supervising staff

Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102

Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional manner

Ability to manage multiple assignments and work to deadlines

Full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel to client sites required)

Able to work from the office as part of a collaborative team
